About Anna Yemelyanova, M.D.
I am a member of the Gynecologic Pathology section. I gained diagnostic expertise in this area during fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and subsequent service as faculty at JHU and MD Andersen Cancer Center. Having completed a fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, I am also involved in molecular diagnostics. My research is primarily focused on HPV-related cancers of the gynecologic tract as well as the development of diagnostic markers of endometrial and ovarian carcinoma. I am an active member of the Association for Molecular Pathology and College of American Pathologist where I have been serving on several committees and have participated in various educational activities.
Dr. Yemelyanova received her M.D. at Russian State Medical University in Moscow. She held junior faculty and Assistant Professor positions in the division of Gynecologic Pathology at John Hopkins University School of Medicine between 2005 to 2013.
